The SEC Freshman of the Week award is coming to Kentucky for the fifth time in six weeks.
This time it is Tyler Herro who earned the conference’s Freshman of the Week award, following Kentucky’s wins at Georgia and at Auburn. Herro averaged a team-high 16 points, five rebounds and four assists per game in the two victories. He’s also made 17 consecutive free throws and leads the team in scoring in the last 11 games.
It’s the second Freshman of the Week trophy for Herro this season, tying him with teammates Ashton Hagans and Keldon Johnson, who also have two apiece.
