That didn’t take long. After being named Andy Katz’s national Player of the Week a few hours ago, Tyler Herro was also awarded SEC Freshman of the Week honors for his performance vs. Louisville.
Herro had a career-high 24 points off 10-for-13 (.769) from the floor, including a career-high four 3-pointers, along with five boards, an assist, a block and two steals. His 24 points were just two-shy of the UK freshman record against Louisville. Over the last six games, Herro is averaging 16.7 points per game while shooting 50.6 percent from the floor. He’s made 13 3-pointers during that stretch.
