Adding to the excitement around Kentucky Football‘s win at Mississippi State over the weekend, today, a freshman Wildcat earned one of the SEC’s weekly awards for his performance in Starkville.
Ty Bryant, an early enrollee in the true freshman class, was named the Southeastern Conference’s Co-Freshman of the Week on Monday. Bryant shares this week’s honor with Arkansas defensive back Jaylon Braxton, who scored a defensive touchdown in the Razorbacks’ first-ever win in Gainesville, Florida. Bryant is the co-winner with Braxton for recording eight tackles in Kentucky’s first win since 2008 in Starkville, Mississippi.
