Back in June, Kobi Albert was on campus for an unofficial visit and the Fairfield (Ala.) Prep product was getting the red carpet treatment from the coaching staff.
Offensive coordinator Liam Coen and multiple defensive coaches were campaigning about what position at camp Albert would go to during the summer camp when everyone split into drills. It was clear that the four-star athlete was at the top of Kentucky’s recruiting big board.
However, the Wildcats lost Albert to Auburn a few weeks later. Yet, assistant coach Jon Sumrall stayed aggressive in this recruitment. The Wildcats got Albert on campus for an unofficial visit in October and followed it up with an official visit in December.
