Two Keys Tavern, the ‘World Famous’ Lexington bar near the University of Kentucky’s campus, will soon reopen its doors to the drinking public after closing during the summer of 2020, a few months into the COVID pandemic. Until its bankruptcy and sudden closure, Two Keys served UK students, locals, and visitors from all over the world for 66 years at its iconic location near campus. Two Keys was so beloved, Benny Snell tried to save it on a rookie NFL contract.
Well it turns out, Two Keys didn’t need saving because today its ownership group announced the doors will soon reopen to the public.
