Gone are long-time starters Drake Jackson and Landon Young. Both were mainstays and originators of the Big Blue Wall. UK is faced with fielding a new starting center for the first time in four seasons and establishing a steady presence at right tackle following Darian Kinnard’s move to the left side.
Center Drake Jackson started 44 consecutive games for the Wildcats. But more importantly, he played most every snap during those contests which limited meaningful reps for the Cats’ projected new starting center Quintin Wilson. Wilson has played in eleven games during his two-year career in Lexington; however, a portion of his game action came at guard.
