CORDOBA, Mexico — Two Kentucky Wildcats volleyball players helped the U.S. Women’s Junior National Team earn a seventh-place finish in the FIVB Women’s U20 World Championship.
It took five sets (25-16, 19-25, 19-25, 25-16, 15-9) for the U.S. to get its revenge against Bulgaria Sunday, breaking a four-match losing streak in the process. The U.S. lost to Bulgaria Thursday in the Top 8 Gold Bracket, a match that also reached five sets.
