Once again, the University of Louisville in in the news for all the wrong reasons.
On Tuesday, it was reported that former Cardinals assistant coach Dino Gaudio has been federally charged with extortion.
Back in March, Gaudio was fired from Chris Mack’s staff after spending three years with the Cardinals.
U.S. Attorney alleges that during a meeting with Louisville officials, Gaudio threatened to expose recruiting violations unless he was paid 17 months’ worth of salary after being fired.
Charging documents say Gaudio demanded a lump sum of 17 months of salary or he would go public with allegations.
