Turnovers, toughness doom Kentucky at Vanderbilt

The Wildcats (14-5, 3-3 SEC) trailed 41-27 at the half, but roared back to eventually take a 58-51 lead with 8:39 to go. Unfortunately, it was all Vandy from there as the Commodores went on to earn a critical SEC win.

Kentucky finished the game with just 11 assists and an uncharacteristic 17 turnovers. Vanderbilt (16-4, 4-3) countered that with 21 assists and 5 turnovers.

Jason Edwards led Vanderbilt with 18 points. Devin McGlockton chipped in 14.

Otega Oweh scored a game-high 21 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for Kentucky.

The Cats need to bounce back in a big way Tuesday night, but it certainly won’t be easy at Tennessee.
