Tuesday Practice Notes: Offense Day

My first observation from the practice field was the defense performing up-downs. Up-downs are the absolute worst form of football punishment especially at the end of a long practice. Tuesday was offense’s turn on the podium. From all indication, the O experienced a positive first day in full-padded practice. Sifting through offensive coordinator Eddie Gran’s comments, the following is my interpretation of today’s coach-speak.

Quarterback

Drew Barker has completed 68-70% of his passes while facing live competition. This can only be interpreted as a positive for the sophomore quarterback. Tuesday’s scrimmage portion of practice was dedicated to the Red-Zone.
