You get 28 rebounds, you get the SEC Player of the Week award (or at least a share of it).
The Southeastern Conference announced the news today, awarding Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe the Co-Player of the Week trophy for the week of Christmas. Tshiebwe had 14 points and a Rupp Arena-record 28 rebounds in Kentucky’s win over Western Kentucky last Wednesday.
Unfortunately, he shares the award with Fulky, who had 24 and 10 for Tennessee against Arizona. (Is there not an age limit on this thing?)
Tshiebwe believes he could’ve gotten the school-record 34 rebounds if John Calipari had left him in the game to finish the 35-point blowout of the Hilltoppers.
