Wesley Person is considered one of the best three-point shooters of all time. His son, Wes Jr., inherited the shooting gene and just recently became the Troy program’s all-time leader in three-point field goals made. He is also the program’s all-time leading scorer in general.
So far this year, Person Jr. averages 17 points per game through four games. He’s already hit 14 threes on 33 attempts in those games, so Kentucky will need to shut him down to prevent a shocking defeat at home.
The Cats will also have to contain Jordan Varnado, who averages 20 points and eight rebounds, and is the younger brother of former Mississippi State star Jarvis Varnado.
