Later this year, the player that broke King Kelly Coleman’s state scoring record will play on the court that Coleman once called home. Travis Perry and Lyon County will face Floyd Central in Old Wayland Gym on December 16. In March, Perry scored 23 points at the Sweet 16 to move past Coleman (4,337 points) to become the Kentucky high school basketball all-time scoring leader, breaking a record that stood for nearly 70 years.
Perry, a varsity starter since seventh grade, now has 4,359 career points and a full senior season ahead of him.
