Kentucky Basketball was firing on all cylinders in its final Saturday game in Rupp Arena against Bruce Pearl’s Auburn Tigers. The Wildcats pulled ahead for good in the first half and then blew the doors off in the second, leading by as many as 40 points with two and a half minutes to go. We even saw the walk-ons in a rare victory cigar moment this season.
In the end, Kentucky won the game by 32 points, 86-54, powered by four starters in double figures combining for 75 total points, more than Auburn’s entire team. Oscar Tshiebwe had 22, Antonio Reeves had 21, Cason Wallace with 19, and 13 for Jacob Toppin.
