Earlier this week, it was reported that Kentucky assistant Tony Barbee was a candidate for the Georgia State job; that is no longer the case. This morning, Georgia State hired Tennessee assistant Rob Lanier, meaning Barbee isn’t going anywhere. Right now, at least.
Oddly, Lanier wasn’t on the list of candidates ESPN reported earlier this week, but hey, the coaching carousel is wild. Also, Tennessee’s dream team continues to fall apart.
