Ryan Lemond will be setting the microphone aside tonight to make way for something more important; a five-minute pickup game between ten Lexington firefighters.
The firefighters are playing for their friend and colleague, Matt Logsdon. The 10-year Lexington Fire Department veteran and father of three discovered last month that he has stage four cancer in his liver, lungs, spine and skull.
While Logsdon and his family decide how to attack his illness in Chicago, his fellow firefighters are trying to raise money and spread awareness at home. Through the hashtag #TeamLogsdon, they’ve already raised over $29,000 to help the family.
