Tomorrow, Kentucky can extend its three-point streak to 1,000 games

UK needs only one trey tomorrow to make it a cool 1,000.

In the final game of last season, Kentucky passed UNLV for the nation’s longest active streak of games with a three-pointer, but the Runnin’ Rebels have played one more game than the Cats this season, so the two are currently tied at 999. If Kentucky gets a three tomorrow, they’ll beat UNLV to 1,000 consecutive games with a trey, if only by a few hours. UNLV takes on San Jose State tomorrow night.

Kentucky’s last game without a three? November 26, 1988, when they lost to Seton Hall in the Great Alaska Shootout, where, fittingly, the Cats lost by three.
