Mark Stoops saw a hole on his team this spring. He’s filled that hole in the best possible way.
Lacking depth at wide receiver, Stoops and Vince Marrow recruited a four-star talent to Kentucky who’s spent the last three years on the hardwood. Ahmad Wagner will put up his Iowa basketball sneakers to lace up a pair of UK football cleats this fall.
The 6’7″ wide receiver will have two years of eligibility and will reportedly be able to play right away. A three-sport star at Dayton’s Wayne High School, he was all-state selection in basketball and football and anchored his 4×100 relay team.
