The Big Blue Nation fell asleep to a nightmare and woke up Friday morning realizing those dreams are unfortunately the reality. Kentucky freshman guard Terrence Clarke has died at the age of 19, the school confirmed late Thursday evening.
Clarke, who entered the NBA Draft in March and just signed with an agent on Wednesday, died in a car wreck leaving a workout in Los Angeles Thursday afternoon. His mother was by his side at the time of death.
“I am absolutely gutted and sick tonight,” Kentucky head coach John Calipari said Thursday. “A young person who we all love has just lost his life too soon, one with all of his dreams and hopes ahead of him.
