Yesterday was a fun day.
The Wildcats, led by an incredible shooting spree in the first half from Davion Mintz, defeated the Tennessee Volunteers in Knoxville 70-55. Kentucky put up 45 points in the first half to build a 15-point lead and was able to withstand an ugly second half thanks to a dominant defensive performance. Tennessee shot just 27% in the second half and 32.1% for the game.
Mintz hit five 3-pointers in the first half, but it was Isaiah Jackson who led the team in scoring with 16 points including 8/9 shooting from the free-throw line.
