As changes continue to be made in both college and professional basketball, KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett is trying to maintain the status quo for high school basketball in Kentucky for as long as that’s still possible.
Although the high school athletics organization is carefully monitoring the situation, there are no official changes to the Sweet 16 schedule or overall experience at this time. Thursday’s games will be played as normal, according to multiple reporters who were covering Wednesday night’s Sweet 16 matchups inside Rupp Arena,
Reporters covering the Pikeville vs. Casey County matchup Wednesday evening were notified during the game of a post-game press conference with Commissioner Tackett in order to “provide an update on Coronavirus concerns and the Sweet 16.
