It’s hard to believe that only a year ago, over 200,000 fans packed the streets of Nashville for the first night of the NFL Draft. The pictures of that scene now give me anxiety, but it was a memorable night because Josh Allen went seventh to the Jacksonville Jaguars, becoming Kentucky’s highest draft pick since Dewayne Robertson was selected fourth by the New York Jets in 2003.
Allen was the first of five Kentucky Wildcats drafted last year, the most for the program since 1979. This year’s haul may not be as big, but Lynn Bowden and Logan Stenberg are almost certain to hear their names called, further proof of the incredible job Mark Stoops has done since taking over in 2012.
