LEXINGTON — Kentucky basketball cruised to a 95-72 win over Kentucky Wesleyan in its 2021-22 exhibition opener Friday.
The Wildcats led by as many as 21 points in the first half then put things into cruise control against the Division II opponent. The Wildcats outscored Kentucky Wesleyan just 47-42 in the second half.
With the outcome decided early, Kentucky coach John Calipari was offered the opportunity to tinker with multiple lineup combinations.
There is plenty of work to do before the No. 11 Wildcats face No. 9 Duke in the regular season opener on Nov.
