LEXINGTON — The appetizer is finished. Kentucky football can now turn its attention to the main course.
UK rolled to a 56-16 win over New Mexico State Saturday to finish its 2021 home schedule. The Aggies, who have yet to beat an FBS opponent this season, represented the final tune-up opportunity for Kentucky before the Governor's Cup rivalry against Louisville next season.
New Mexico State actually scored first by returning a fumbled snap 25 yards for a touchdown on Kentucky's first drive, but UK answered lest than three minutes later with its first of eight touchdowns.
