The University of Kentucky sent out a press release about three Kentucky Wildcats Football players earning Academic All-District Honors.
Kentucky seniors Landon Foster and Jordan Swindle, and sophomore Charles Walker, have been named Academic All-District, the College Sports Information Directors Association announced on Thursday afternoon.
Foster, UK’s four-year starting punter out of Franklin, Tenn., has a 3.97 cumulative GPA as a finance major. A semifinalist for the Wuerffel Trophy, given to the nation’s top community servant, Foster is a three-year Academic All-Southeastern Conference selection and a second-team CoSIDA Academic All-America selection in 2014. Foster is also on the watch list for the Campbell Trophy, awarded to the nation’s top scholar-athlete and the Ray Guy Award, given to the NCAA’s best punter.
