LEXINGTON – The first two weeks of December are among the busiest of the year for a college football coach.
The logistics of planning bowl practices must be juggled with travel to visit as many recruits as possible before the December signing period. Roster management has been made even more difficult this year in the first full offseason with the free transfer rule. Meanwhile, many current upperclassmen are weighing whether to use their extra year of eligibility provided due to the COVID-19 pandemic or enter the NFL draft.
UK’s coaches returned to campus over the weekend to start bowl practices and host several high-profiled high school and transfer targets for official visits.
