Two University of Kentucky athletes have qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
Mary Tucker and Will Shaner, both members of the Wildcats rifle team, competed at the U.S. air rifle trials and were awarded spots on Sunday, along with Lucas Kozeniesky and Ali Weisz.
"I am very excited to see that the hard and long work that Mary and Will have put in has been rewarded with them earning spots on Team USA," UK head coach Harry Mullins said in a release. "You have to be excited and overjoyed for them that their journey as shooters is moving forward to the world stage.
