LEXINGTON – Better late than never, right?
Opening day of the 2020 MLB season is finally here more than four months after sports were shutdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The 60-game regular season promises to be like any other in recent memory, assuming it is actually completed.
There remain no shortage of questions about the feasibility of playing the season while COVID-19 cases spike around the country, but should games be played at scheduled, several players with local ties could be key to the race for the playoffs.
