Kentucky’s players in the NBA obviously dominate the spotlight on this website, but The Ringer’s Paolo Uggetti has a really great profile on the guys who had to take a different path in the pros. Uggetti caught up with Marquis Teague, Archie Goodwin, Daniel Orton, Aaron Harrison, Terrence Jones, Derek Willis, and Kyle Wiltjer, who are all playing in either the G-League or overseas, and asked them about their time at Kentucky and how much they miss it. (Spoiler: A lot.)
Even though Wiltjer, who is playing in Greece, transferred to Gonzaga, he still calls his time in Lexington “the best two years of [his] life,” as does Daniel Orton, who left school immediately after his freshman season, damaging Kentucky’s APR rating and his relationship with John Calipari.
