Kentucky’s reoccurring problems made a big stink Tuesday night at Rupp Arena in the worst possible way. The Wildcats were in command, absolutely dominating the Tennessee Volunteers (sans John Fulkerson) through more than 20 minutes of basketball. Up 17 points, this was going to be the time UK finally buried an opponent… or so we thought.
Over a ten-minute stretch Tennessee turned that 17-point deficit into a three-point lead. We should have seen it coming.
1. Kentucky made just three shots in ten minutes. One of those was a layup. Another was a dunk. This happened just three days after Kentucky went seven minutes without a made field goal and made just three shots in the final 14 minutes against Auburn.
