The Last Time Kentucky Won Between the Hedges

Kentucky trailed by 14 at half until Georgia had not one, not two, but FOUR second half turnovers. That opening was all Kentucky needed to come back and claim a 34-27 victory in Between the Hedges.

Randall Cobb rushed for two second half touchdowns and Derrick Locke took two receptions from Morgan Newton to the house to upset Georgia for the Cats’ seventh win of the 2009 season. The first win in Athens in 32 years would be Rich Brooks’ last as Kentucky’s head coach.

And while you’re at it, go ahead and enjoy Brooks’ win over the Bulldogs in the ’06 goalpost game.
