When Mark Stoops talks about Kentucky spring football practice, he must mention the word “fundamentals” at least once. Behind the malaise of the daily grind, there’s an ongoing chess match between the young coordinators from Rhode Island, making it an incredibly competitive spring practice.
“Overall there’s progress. There’s some give and take when you’re playing against each other. As the head coach you’re looking for constant improvement across the board fundamentally,” Stoops said Saturday.
On Thursday Liam Coen’s offense had the upper hand. The Wildcats made explosive plays by going over the top of Brad White’s defense.
