The Governor’s Cup forecast is cold, wet, and gross

It’s going to get quite sloppy at Kroger Field on Saturday afternoon.

According to WLKY meteorologist Chris Johnson, the updated forecast for tomorrow’s highly-anticipated Governor’s Cup matchup between Kentucky and Louisville will feature rain, rain, and more rain.

“The forecast for the Governor’s Cup is about as ugly as you get,” Johnson said on Twitter. “Rain will be likely, heavy at times along with chilly [temperatures] in the 40s. Should make for an interesting game!”

WKYT chief meteorologist Chris Bailey released an official game day forecast of his own, with temperatures in the 40s and rain predicted from start to finish.
