Kentucky looked different at their first open practice. I probably couldn’t type a more vague description, but for a lack of a better term, I’m staying with different. Here’s my explanation by position group:
Quarterback
Patrick Towles consistently completed high percentage passes. Pat doesn’t need to consume himself with regularly throwing sixty yard bombs, but instead he needs to focus on improving accuracy and by doing so, moving the chains. Drew Barker’s throwing motion was more fluid. Last year, my initial evaluation of his passing procedure was tight and jerky. Drew seemed to lack upper body flexibility which limited his ability to increase arm velocity from set point to follow through.
