Just a day later, Kentucky jumped to No. 13 in the AP Poll, just one of six SEC teams represented on the list. To put the icing on the cake, they sit comfortably behind just one team in their own division, the No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs, as they do in the official SEC East standings.
It was a special night, a sellout under the lights against a rival opponent. Kentucky didn’t have their most efficient night offensively, especially in the second half, but the defense proved once again they are one of the best in college football.
