Terry Wilson is returning for another season of college football, though not with the Kentucky Wildcats.
Wilson made a surprising announcement Monday that he’ll enter the transfer portal and return for the 2021 season.
Wilson, a fifth-year senior in 2020, will use the NCAA eligibility relief ruling to get an extra season to play out next fall. He had preciously said 2020 would be his final season, but he apparently feels there’s still more to accomplish at the collegiate level.
Kentucky was never expecting Wilson to come back and planned on having Joey Gatewood and Beau Allen battle for the starting spot next season, so this news really doesn’t affect them at all.
