On Monday, it was announced that Purdue Boilermakers center Matt Haarms would become a graduate transfer. He instantly became one of the top transfers on the market, and the Kentucky Wildcats are in desperate need of frontcourt help.
So, it only makes sense that UK could wind up showing interest in the 7-3, 250-pound Haarms, who currently ranks fourth in Purdue history with 210 blocks. He’s just the kind of shot-blocking rim protector UK needs for next season with Nick Richards and EJ Montgomery possibly leaving for the NBA Draft and Nate Sestina graduating.
