Tennessee Basketball suffered a significant loss to its roster over the weekend with an injury to Olivier Nkamhoua in the Vols’ win at South Carolina.
Nkamhoua, the team’s starting forward, suffered an injury to his left ankle in the second half of Saturday’s game in Columbia. Today, Tennessee announced Nkamhoua will need surgery to repair the ankle and will likely miss the remainder of his junior season with the Vols. Rick Barnes does not expect to have him back in 2021-22.
Prior to going down, Nkamhoua started in 22 of 22 games at either the power forward or center spot for Tennessee.
