Another former Wildcat will be a foe this fall.
Bruce Feldman reports Jimmy Brumbaugh will be the next defensive line coach for the Tennessee Volunteers. Brumbaugh was Mark Stoops’ first defensive line coach at Kentucky, serving in the role from 2013-16. After his departure he spent two seasons at Maryland and the 2019 season at Colorado.
Brumbaugh has been hired by another former UK staffer, Derrick Ansley. Now Tennessee’s defensive coordinator, Ansley spent three years coaching with Brumbaugh for Mark Stoops.
Phil Fulmer and Jeremy Pruitt are rebuilding Tennessee’s defense with former Wildcats. They aren’t the only former Wildcat assistants on rocky top.
