Cross one name off the list of candidates for defensive coordinator should Matt House accept the job with the Kansas City Chiefs. GoVols247 is reporting that Tennessee has hired former Kentucky assistant Derrick Ansley, possibly as co-defensive coordinator.
Ansley was the defensive backs coach for the Oakland Raiders. Prior to joining Jon Gruden’s staff, he was the defensive backs coach at Alabama under defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, who is now the Vols’ head coach. Of course, before going to Alabama, he coached Kentucky’s cornerbacks and eventually the entire secondary from 2014-2015.
Have fun wearing that puke inside of a pumpkin orange.
