Meeks was 15/22 from the field and an unbelievable 10/15 from beyond the arc. This goes without mentioning going a perfect 14/14 from the charity stripe, pulling down 8 rebounds and dishing out 4 assists.
I remember listening to Tom Leach’s call on the radio on the edge of my seat with how hot Meeks was. This performance will go down as the best single game performance in Kentucky Basketball history and is what some call the one shining moment of the Billy Gillespie era.
Going into the game, Tennessee had a 16 game SEC home winning streak, but that was quickly put to bed behind the amazing performance from Meeks.
