Kentucky has an extra spot to fill in the 2019 recruiting class.
Taures Payne, a junior college defensive end from Hoover, Alabama, will no longer be in Kentucky’s 2019 recruiting class. KSR has confirmed the news that was first reported by Justin Rowland.
Payne committed to Kentucky in June. He visited campus in September, however, growing concerns over eligibility caused the Cats to sever the relationship.
Without Payne in the picture, Kentucky has six spots to fill in the 2019 recruiting class. If the Cats are looking for an outside linebacker to replace Payne, there’s a four-star linebacker in the city of Louisville that recently reopened his recruitment.
