The Tampa Bay Rays took Kentucky infielder Emilien Pitre in the second round of Sunday’s Major League Baseball Draft.
Pitre was pick No. 58 overall.
This season, Pitre had just two errors in 255 chances for the Wildcats. He also hit .301 with 57 runs, 20 doubles, a triple, 10 home runs, 58 RBI, 47 walks and 26 stolen bases.
