Another day, another double-double for Kentucky’s Tai Wynyard at the FIBA World Cup in Cairo.
For the second consecutive day, Wynyard recorded a double-double. Yesterday he had 17 (8-11 FGs) points and 13 rebounds. Today’s stat-line was similar: 15 points (6-10 FGs) and 13 rebounds. Today’s game is much worse, not because Wynyard had two less points, but because New Zealand lost 74-70 to Puerto Rico.

New Zealand didn’t win a ton of games at the tournament, but I think it’s safe to say Tai proved he can contribute next year after averaging 13.
