LEXINGTON — A week after announcing freshman forward Cam'Ron Fletcher had been suspended, Kentucky basketball has welcomed the freshman forward back to the team.
"Smile on his face, happy," Kentucky coach John Calipari said of Fletcher in an appearance on the SEC coaches teleconference Monday. "Told the team, ‘Don’t do what I did. You don’t want to go home. This is where you want to be.’"
On Dec. 12, Calipari tweeted that Fletcher had been sent home to Saint Louis to "reflect and do some soul searching to get his priorities in order." The suspension came after television cameras caught an emotional outburst from Fletcher on the UK bench in the closing minutes of a loss to North Carolina.
