Following back-to-back lackluster practices that had Coach Stoops ready to spit nails, he decided to switch things up a little in an attempt to motivate his team. Stoops called for a Saturday night practice under the lights. Drills didn’t take place on the fancy new turf, not even in Nutter Training Center. Stoops held a “Blue Collar” work session outside under the night sky on dimly-lit practice fields. If the reactions of the players are any indication, it was just what the doctor ordered.
