Mark Stoops and Kentucky have a chance tomorrow to do something that’s never been done at Kentucky. If Kentucky beats Louisville, it will reach seven regular season wins for the fourth consecutive season, a first in program history.
Only once have the Cats reached seven total wins in four consecutive seasons: under Rich Brooks from 2006-2009. But in 2008, they needed a Liberty Bowl victory to get number seven.
In fact, last year was only the second time ever Kentucky has gotten to seven regular season wins in three consecutive seasons. The first such streak came from 1949-1951, when the Cats won nine, ten, and seven regular season games, respectively.
