To say Patrick Towles’ performance has been a big topic of discussion since Saturday would be an understatement. The junior quarterback was 16-34 for 257 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. The first half, Patrick moved the ball well, but fell apart in the second half, completing only 6 of 16 passes for 38 yards and a pick. On his radio show last night, Mark Stoops chalked it up to nerves.
“Make no mistake, he has some experience, he’s done some very good things, but I think he put a lot of pressure on himself to go out and play very well in that game and he started out very fast, did some very good things.
