College football appears set to lose one of the sport's all-time greatest coaches.
According to multiple media reports, South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Steve Spurrier is retiring. Sports Illustrated’s Thayer Evans was the first to report the news:

As of now, Spurrier has a 228-89 record with the Duke Blue Devils, Florida Gators and South Carolina.
