Kentucky’s defense is rolling deep into 2020 spring practice. Returning just about everyone from the nation’s 14th-ranked scoring defense, it makes the early playbook installation periods fly by.
“We’re just in our tennis-skirts so it’s a little bit hard,” said defensive coordinator Brad White, ” but when you have a lot of guys back, some of these basic installs, the communication comes back pretty quick to them. They’re knocking off the rust in terms of eye discipline, alignments, pad level and stuff like that and some of those things you’d expect early. But the communication is there. We’re much farther along and it’s only been two days.
